Many many years ago I fell in love with printmaking. The hand carving of lino blocks and woodcuts and silk screen films. The process of inking a stone, plate or block and making multiple pieces of art. I particularly loved the flat blocks of colours. When I started a series of paintings based on places that I snowshoed to in the winter, I envisioned turning them into prints. Never did. I enjoyed the simplicity of the painting process so much , and the result that I just kept painting....

In 1998 my studio started providing murals and paintings to Rainforest Cafe restaurants. 23 locations, 200+ murals and three countries later it was time to move on. I really enjoyed building 4' x 4' canvases and working large so I continued with portraits.
